The MCX-SPEAR in 7.62x51 is SIG's flagship battle rifle platform in short-barreled configuration — a 13-inch cold-hammer-forged barrel and short-stroke piston system built to run 7.62 NATO reliably in a package short enough for close-quarters and vehicle-based use. The Magpul SL-M folding/telescoping stock and AR-compatible reduced-angle grip keep the controls familiar, and the 2-stage match trigger delivers the clean break serious 7.62 work demands. A 20-round polymer AR-10-pattern magazine and M-LOK/Picatinny forend compatibility complete a rifle built for shooters who need full-power rifle-cartridge performance without a full-length rifle's footprint.
