The MCX-SPEAR LT IR in 5.56 NATO with an 11.5-inch barrel is SIG's short-barreled rifle configuration of the SPEAR platform in its lighter LT trim — a gas-piston system built to run cleaner and cooler than direct impingement, in a package short enough for close-quarters work without giving up the SPEAR's reliability reputation. A folding telescopic stock brings the overall footprint down fast, the SIG flat blade match trigger gives a clean, consistent break, and the Gen II NiR FDE Cerakote finish matches the rest of the SPEAR LT line. M-LOK forend compatibility covers lights, foregrips, and optics mounting without adapters. Built for close-quarters and vehicle-based use where barrel length is the limiting factor.
